If you have something relevant to add to a CopperWiki article, you are most welcome. But before you add, do read What is CopperWiki?, What CopperWiki is not and purpose of CopperWiki.

Before you click on the edit button and make additions, put up a note on the additions in the article's discussion page. You do that by clicking the "discussion" tab at the top of the page. Do not worry if the link shows up in purple; it is alright to create the talk page if it does not already exist.

When you post a new comment, put it at the bottom of the talk page. The exception is that if you are responding to someone else's remarks, put your comment below theirs. You can indent your comment by typing a colon (:) at the beginning of a line.

Reach a consensus on the discussion page

It is important to reach a consensus regarding the additions you intend to make at this stage itself. In the absence of this, the additions are liable to be removed from the article. If a consensus has been reached, then make the additions.

Adding to the page

If you are adding matter to an existing section, then click the "edit" button next to the "subheading" of that section. If you want to create a section, then click the edit tab right on top of the article.

Go to the appropriate place and add the desired subheading, nested in == these signs

Start writing below. Do not forget to as links, references and footnotes. After you have finished writing, click the Show Preview tab at the bottom of the page to see how the page looks. add an edit summary and the click on Save Page tab at the bottom of the page.
