Modular homes begin at a factory and get finished up onsite. About 85 percent of the work is completed in the factory and then transported to the site for completion. They not only require less time to complete, but there is much less wastage too.

Green Possibilities

Since 85 percent of it is made in factories it is possible to make modular homes as much eco-friendly as one wants them to be. During the building stage itself eco-friendly features such as bamboo flooring, recycled countertops, energy efficient windows, and other custom features can be incorporated.

The sizes can also be made small for low impact living.
